Ryan Porter: Maven of Memories

Ryan Porter (he/they) is a Sacramento-based photographer with a passion for events, concerts, music, portraiture, and just generally documenting people having fun!

Ryan was born & raised in Sonoma County, CA, where the grapevines grow plentiful and the ocean breeze nips the air. They began studying Photography in 2018, and has been in love with the art-form ever since. In 2021, he transferred his study to Sacramento State University, where he became enamored with the world of concert photography, and dedicated his senior project to capturing artists, venues & fans in their purest form, in his exhibition Collective Effervescence.

Since graduating with a BFA from Sacramento State in 2024, Ryan made it their mission to capture moments of all kinds, in ways that invoke the same emotional weight as thinking back to the moment might; to craft not just photos, but memories that will last.
